Crossroads Christian's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Friday: Cornerstone Christian hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Crusaders never let Norton Science & Language Academy get on the board and left with a 21-0 win on Wednesday. Considering the Crusaders have won 16 matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Dylan Kelly and Jayden Soto made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Kelly pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Soto tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. At bat, Kelly went 4-for-5 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs, while Soto went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. With that strong performance, Kelly is now averaging an impressive 1 stolen bases per game.

In other batting news, David Meinardus and Josh May did most of the damage at the plate: Meinardus went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while May went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave May a new career-high. Alec O'Sullivan was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Cornerstone Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 26 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Crossroads Christian's offense. They lost 8-0 to Calvary Baptist on Tuesday. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
Cornerstone Christian pushed their record up to 18-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Crossroads Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
