The Covenant Christian Warriors and the Sheridan Blackhawks squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Covenant Christian Warriors had to settle for second. They lost to the Blackhawks on the road by a decisive 47-28 margin. While losing is never fun, Covenant Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while the Blackhawks are ranked 131st).
Kenzie Garner continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Sheridan, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 15 rebounds. Garner hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Cecilia Timme was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Covenant Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Sheridan, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-5.
Covenant Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sheridan also has no future games currently scheduled.
