La Jolla got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Isabella Policaro out in front who scored 12 points along with two steals. Policaro hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Drew Bennett, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Canyon Hills lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Annalisa Parker, who scored 11 points along with two steals. That was a full 45.8% of Canyon Hills' points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Kaela Sancha was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
La Jolla's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Canyon Hills, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.
La Jolla will challenge High Tech SD at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. High Tech SD will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. Canyon Hills will take on Hoover at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
