Hannah Miller was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in August.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Kauffman, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and two runs.
Standing Bear hit Norfolk with a four-run second inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grizzlies.
