Leading Washington to victory were Chris Knight and Jadyce Thigpen. Knight shot 5-for-6 from deep and dropped a double-double on 30 points and 12 rebounds, while Thigpen scored 32 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Thigpen has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jalen Slaughter, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds.
GlenOak's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-6. As for Washington, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. GlenOak will take on Copley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Copley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 357th, while GlenOak is ranked 34th). As for Washington, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against John Adams at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Washington is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Ohio (they are ranked 146th, while John Adams is ranked 654th).
