The Carson Colts had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 41 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Bell as Carson made off with a 53-28 win. With Carson ahead 31-10 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Carson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isra Neal led the charge by scoring 9 points along with 16 rebounds and 5 steals. Neal is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Madison Wheeler was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with 5 steals.
Carson's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Bell, they bumped their record down to 0-3 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carson will take on Fountain Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Fountain Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Bell, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Roosevelt at 4:10 p.m. on December 6th. Roosevelt is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
