Basketball Recap: Glendora Sets Scoring Season-High Against Bishop Amat

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Glendora). Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 67-35 stomp they got against the Bishop Amat Lancers. The Tartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Ronnie Herrmann was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. What's more, she also racked up eight assists, the most she's had since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Milana Luera, who went 5 of 7 en route to 12 points and eight rebounds.

Glendora was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

Despite the loss, Bishop Amat still got an impressive performance from Arianna Saldivar, who posted 17 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazlynn Camacho, who had six points.

Glendora is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.9 points per game. As for Bishop Amat, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Glendora wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 53-29 victory against Burroughs on the 30th. As for Bishop Amat, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 44-33 win against La Serna on the 30th.
