Leo is a perfect 10-0 against East Noble since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Lions will venture away from home to face off against the Knights at 5:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
East Noble will be up against a hot Leo team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. The Lions walked away with a 10-7 win over Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger on Thursday.

Carley Funk and Malina Lape did most of the damage at the plate: Funk got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Lape went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave Lape a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Connally, who earned one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.
East Noble's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Homestead on Saturday. The Knights blew past Wawasee 12-0. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won seven in a row.
Abby Alwine made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.
In other batting news, Aubrey Helmkamp was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Emilie Stinson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
East Noble hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive matchups.
East Noble pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Leo, their record now sits at 15-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Leo has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like East Noble struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Leo came out on top in a nail-biter against East Noble in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 4-2. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
