Marian proved they can win big  on Tuesday (they won by three) and  on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a  set and slipped past the Millard North Mustangs  3-2. Their offense was headlined by  Fallyn O'Connell and  Taylor McLeay, who picked up 16 kills apiece. They got some help from  Addy Janke and her 27 assists. Finally,  Erin Cramer kept Marian's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.
 Millard North's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Andie Blomenkamp, who  had seven  digs and two  aces. Blomenkamp has been hot, having also posted 13 or more assists the last six times she's  played.  Hayden Sliva was another key player,  getting 18  digs and three  aces.
