1. (No. 1 last week) Nathan Hale (Seattle), 14-0Monday was a huge disappointment for national championship hopefuls outside of Seattle. Nathan Hale knocked off Independent Top 10 No. 7 Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson) 80-77 at the Spalding Hoophall Classic, getting 37 points from
Michael Porter Jr. The Raiders won't play another team outside the state of Washington the rest of the way.
2. (3) Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.), 16-1How incredible does Sierra Canyon's resume have to be to overcome a head-to-head loss to No. 1 Nathan Hale? That question will be asked in the coming weeks after a weekend to remember for the Trailblazers. Sierra Canyon beat No. 4 Memphis East in the Bass Pro Shops Tournament of Champions final and notched wins over Independent Top 10-ranked Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.) and La Lumiere (La Porte, Ind.).
3. (2) Chino Hills (Calif.), 18-0With both

4. (5) Memphis East (Memphis, Tenn.), 14-3Unprecedented for a three-loss team to be ranked this highly in mid-January. But it's also unprecedented for a team to beat Kevin Boyle's Montverde Academy (Fla.) program twice in a week like the Mustangs just did. Memphis East has played eight games against teams that have appeared in the High School Top 25 or Independent Top 10 rankings this season, coming away with five wins.
5. (4) Simeon (Chicago), 16-0The Wolverines don't fly under the radar very often but this team has managed to do so despite a perfect record. Simeon went 4-0 last week, including showcase wins over Poly (Baltimore, Md.) and Fenwick (Oak Park).
Michael Porter Jr. continued his quest to turn downtrodden Nathan Hale (three wins in 2015-16) into a national champion, scoring 37 points in a win over Oak Hill Academy on Monday.

16. (NR) Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.), 13-3All three of Gonzaga's losses came against teams ranked among the top 15 this week. Wins over formerly-ranked Garfield (Seattle) and Westlake (Atlanta) ensure the Eagles don't fall too far for now.
17. (17) Shadow Mountain (Phoenix), 18-0The Matadors outscored Thunderbird (Phoenix) and Saguaro (Scottsdale) by 114 points in a pair of wins last week.

19. (20) Basha (Chandler, Ariz.), 20-0The MaxPreps Computer Rankings have Basha rated higher than fellow Grand Canyon State High School Top 25 team Shadow Mountain. Unfortunately, the two state powers won't have the opportunity to settle that debate on the floor this season.

Cedrick Alley is upping his stock this season, landing recent offers from Boise State and Houston among others.
21. (10) North Central (Indianapolis), 13-1Playing their fourth game in five days, the Panthers fell to Pike (Indianapolis) on Saturday in the final of the Marion County Tournament. They will get a shot to avenge that loss Feb. 10.
22. (NR) Federal Way (Wash.), 15-0This might not even be Federal Way's best team in recent years but the Eagles own the nation's longest high school boys basketball win streak at 58 games in a row. Playing in Washington's largest classification (4A), they are winning by an average of 38.4 points per game this season.
23. (NR) Wagner (San Antonio, Texas), 22-1Since an upset loss to United (Laredo) back on Dec. 17, the Thunderbirds are 9-0 and winning by an average margin of 28.4 points per game. Wagner's second appearance this season in the rankings will be a short one if it can't get past 2016 Class 6A runner-up Steele (Cibolo) in a district showdown on Tuesday.
