The Christian Academy has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Collegium Charter Cougar at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Christian Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last eight games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
The Christian Academy's 20-8 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They suffered a rough 42-19 loss at the hands of Faith Christian Academy two weeks ago.
Meanwhile, Collegium Charter scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They strolled past Philadelphia Montgomery Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 53-34. The victory was familiar territory for Collegium Charter who now have four in a row.
Collegium Charter found their leader in underclassman Nasira Towles, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Towles has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kori Beasley, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
The Christian Academy's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Collegium Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-11 record this season.
Everything came up roses for The Christian Academy against Collegium Charter when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 44-17 win.
