Monte Vista posted their biggest win yet this season on Tuesday. They blew past Livermore 76-22 on the road. 76 seems to be a good number for Monte Vista as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Monte Vista relied on the efforts of Rachel Brans, who scored 20 points along with eight assists and five rebounds, and Alyssa Rudd, who scored 27 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Rudd is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jessica Chiniquy, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Dougherty Valley scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Livermore at home to the tune of 56-17. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Dougherty Valley as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Monte Vista has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Dougherty Valley, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-14.
