Algona lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Hampton-Dumont/CAL, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's match. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over Hampton-Dumont/CAL on Monday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by six runs or more this season.

Algona has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Hampton-Dumont/CAL, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Algona didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-2 win against Spencer on the 8th. As for Hampton-Dumont/CAL, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Clear Lake on the 8th.
