The Bethlehem Christian Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Lincoln Leadership Academy Lions on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Bethlehem Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Coventry Christian, taking the game 27-19.
Meanwhile, Lincoln Leadership Academy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They snuck past Mahanoy Area with a 59-55 victory. That's two games straight that Lincoln Leadership Academy has won by exactly four points.
Lincoln Leadership Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alania Ortiz, who scored 26 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 steals. The game was Ortiz's third in a row with at least ten points. Yadira Marshall was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 assists.
The win got Bethlehem Christian back to even at 1-1. As for Lincoln Leadership Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
