At the plate, South Hills saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabriel Guerrero, who went 2-for-3 with one double. Richie Soto also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Newport Harbor's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for South Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
