It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Loara Saxons ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They managed a 43-39 victory over La Quinta. Winning may never get old, but Loara sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Loara found their leader in underclassman Sophia Rangel, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Angela Ngo was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Despite the loss, La Quinta still got an impressive performance from Katelyn Vo, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Vo has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie Nguyen, who scored ten points.
