While Westlake's win against Lake Travis wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Chaparrals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Cavaliers on Friday. The Chaparrals haven't had any issues with the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Westlake found their leader in sophomore Kyrksen Cook, who had 20 assists and ten digs. Cook has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more assists the last three times she's played. Varsha Rachala also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Despite the loss, Lake Travis still got an impressive performance from Addison Rioux, who had 13 assists and 11 digs.

Westlake's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Lake Travis, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-4.

Westlake has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Canyon on the 22nd. As for Lake Travis, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Clark on the 22nd.
