Meanwhile, Notre Dame scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. Everything went their way against Priory as Notre Dame made off with a 4-0 win. Given Notre Dame's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 388th, while Priory is ranked 856th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sacred Heart Prep's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those seven contests. As for Notre Dame, they now have a winning record of 8-7-3.
Sacred Heart Prep was able to grind out a solid win over Notre Dame in their previous meeting back in January, winning 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sacred Heart Prep since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
