The Granite Hills Cougars suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They were outmatched by Silverado on the road and fell 81-25. Granite Hills has struggled against Silverado recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Granite Hills saw an underclassman step up: Bryanna Lynem scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Rollins, who scored six points.
It was another big night for Elizabeth Udeze, who scored 33 points for Silverado. That makes it three consecutive games in which Udeze has scored at least a third of Silverado's points. Belinda Rincon was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Granite Hills' loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Silverado, they pushed their record up to 15-6 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home.
Granite Hills will take on Victor Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Silverado, they will head out on the road to square off against Adelanto at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Adelanto will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 461st, while Silverado is ranked 207th).
