After flying high against the Victory Christian Vikings  last Tuesday, the Encina Prep Bulldogs came back down to earth. Encina Prep fell just short of the Saints by a score of  35-32. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Encina Prep in their matchups with the Saints: they've now lost eight in a row.
 Encina Prep lost  on Tuesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Elise Brandon, who  scored 12 points along with four  blocks. It was the first time this season that  Brandon  posted two or more  blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of  Maraia Rokosiga, who  scored ten points along with two  blocks.
 Encina Prep dropped their record down to 4-16 with that  defeat, which was their fifth straight  on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's  offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.6 points per game. As for Delta, their win bumped their record up to 15-9.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Encina Prep will take on the Cardinals at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Delta, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Forest Lake Christian is coming into the  game on a three-game losing streak.
