The Bishop Union Broncos can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They claimed a resounding 57-11 win over Mammoth on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Bishop Union also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Bishop Union found their leader in underclassman Kristin Allen, who scored 18 points along with six steals and five assists. Allen is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Henny Charley, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Despite the loss, Mammoth still got an impressive performance from Nicole Smyth, who scored ten points along with four steals. That was a full 90.9% of Mammoth's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Bishop Union pushed their record up to 10-7 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Mammoth, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop Union will square off against Rosamond at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rosamond will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Bishop Union surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mammoth, they will head out on the road to challenge Boron at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Boron is facing Mammoth at the right time seeing as Mammoth is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
