Everything went their way against Pacific Ridge on Friday as Sage Creek made off with a 58-34 win. Sage Creek's win was all the more impressive since Pacific Ridge was averaging only 29.78 points allowed on the season.
Sage Creek found their leader in underclassman Josie Biehl, who scored 15 points along with nine steals and five rebounds. The match was Biehl's third in a row with at least ten points. Gia Kiesling was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds and eight steals.
Meanwhile, Mission Vista didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Valley Center on Friday, but they still walked away with a 42-36 victory. That looming 42-36 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Mission Vista yet this season.
Sage Creek's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Mission Vista, their victory ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-7.
Sage Creek came up short against Mission Vista in their previous matchup back in December of 2021, falling 43-33. Can Sage Creek avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
