The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for West Catholic in their matchups with Neumann-Goretti: they've now lost three in a row.
When it comes to explaining why West Catholic lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sakinah Abdus-Salaam. Despite the final result, she scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciana Blake, who scored five points.
It was another big night for Carryn Easley , who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten assists for Neumann-Goretti. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Reginna Baker , who scored 20 points along with three steals.
West Catholic bumped their record down to 5-3 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Neumann-Goretti, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.
