This season hasn't been kind to the Galt Warriors, who are still winless after their sixth match. They took a 38-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wheatland on Tuesday. Galt lost against Wheatland in their previous head to head back in December of 2014, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 37-23 score last time.
Wheatland's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kimiko Cervantes, who scored 14 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Cervantes has scored at least 25% of Wheatland's points. Another player making a difference was Lia Azevedo, who scored 8 points along with 3 steals.
Galt's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.5 points per game. As for Wheatland, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Galt's road trip will continue as they head out to face Bear Creek at 7:00 p.m. on November 30th. As for Wheatland, they will challenge Pierce at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
