Baseball Recap: Albany Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

While Albany's victory against Miramonte wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars won by a run and slipped past the Matadors 2-1. The win was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won three games in a row.

Max Eddy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits. He also put up two walks, which were his first of the season.

At the plate, Albany's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Tour? Hudson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Albany's record is now 10-4. As for Miramonte, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Albany will host Saint Mary's at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Miramonte, they will welcome San Rafael at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
