The Marshall Eagles came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 62-25 win over Edgewood. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Marshall also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2019.
Marshall's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maryn Goodwin led the charge by scoring 15 points along with 3 steals. Madelyn Degooyer was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 3 steals.
Marshall's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Edgewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Marshall will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Glendora at 5:00 p.m. on December 5th. One thing working in Glendora's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games. As for Edgewood, they will head out on the road to face off against Montebello at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
