Analy and Montgomery are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. Analy will square off against Montgomery at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Analy sitting on three straight victories and Montgomery on four.
Last Friday, Analy got the win against Piner by a conclusive 12-3. Considering the Tigers have won three matchups by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Wes Bush was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in February of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emerson Johnston, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. He is becoming a predictor of Analy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 1-4 when he doesn't). Wyatt O' Brien also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, Montgomery made easy work of Healdsburg on Saturday and carried off a 7-1 win. Considering the Vikings have won three contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Chace Russell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Ryder Dienhart was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Coleman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Analy's record is now 4-5. As for Montgomery, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Analy suffered a grim 16-5 defeat to Montgomery in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Analy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
