With a playoff game on the line, the Tracy Bulldogs rose to the challenge on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 1-0 shutout. Tracy's winning goal came courtesy of Ava Coverdale.
Tracy's win bumped their record up to 9-5-1. As for Whitney, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13-6.
Tracy will face off against St. Francis at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tracy's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. Whitney does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
