There's no place like home for Niwot, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Legacy Lightning by a score of  9-5  on Thursday. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lightning, too.
 Mandy Roth made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and three unearned) runs off   seven  hits. Roth was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in September of 2024.
 In other batting news,  May Herrera was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Payton Stokes, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  runs and one  RBI.

The  victory  got Niwot back to even at 2-2. As for Legacy,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-3.
 Coming up, Niwot will take on Holy Family at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8.8  runs per game this season. As for Legacy, they will challenge Brighton at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
