Make it ten blowout wins for the Gabrielino Eagles this season. They put the hurt on Rosemead with a sharp 40-20 win on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for Gabrielino as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Gabrielino's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sarah Banh, who scored ten points along with five steals and two blocks. Banh hasn't dropped below four steals for seven straight games. Mia Lim was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Gabrielino has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Rosemead, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-13.
Gabrielino will take on the Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Arroyo will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 840th, while the Eagles are ranked 350th). Rosemead does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
