The Carmel Padres's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They were the victim of a  tough 49-25 defeat at the hands of Monterey. Carmel was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  27-6.
  Myah Koster and  Chloe LeMaster certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss.  Koster  scored nine points, while  LeMaster  scored nine points. Koster continues to roll, besting  her previous point total in each of the last three games she's  played.
 Carmel bumped their record down to 1-7 with that  defeat, which was their third straight  at home. As for Monterey, their win  ended a four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 2-4.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carmel will  square off against Salinas at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday. Monterey's road trip will continue as they head out to face Aptos at 7:00  p.m.  on December 22nd.
