Baseball Game Preview: South Panola Tigers vs. Center Hill Mustangs

For the second straight game, South Panola will face off against Center Hill. The Tigers will square off against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (South Panola has five straight victories, Center Hill has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

South Panola's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over Center Hill.

Anson Bright made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

In other batting news, Carlos Robinson Jr was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Jamarion Ingram was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
