It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Schurr can now relate to. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Artesia Pioneers on Tuesday. The Spartans' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Schurr saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Torres, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Schurr's loss dropped their record down to 14-16. As for Artesia, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-8-1.

Schurr does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Artesia, they will square off against Notre Dame at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Titans will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Pioneers surely won't give up without a fight.
