Perkiomen Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Grace Galbavy led the charge by scoring 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Bacani, who scored 13 points.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mackenzie L Pettinelli, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and five assists. That's the first time this season that L Pettinelli scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Anna Azzara, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Perkiomen Valley's victory was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1. As for Spring-Ford, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-3.
Perkiomen Valley will face off against Archbishop Wood at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. Spring-Ford won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Pope John Paul II at 1:30 p.m. on January 13th. Pope John Paul II will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 420th, while Spring-Ford is ranked 14th).
