Brooklyn extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 4-16. They came up short against the Oberlin Phoenix, falling 11-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Phoenix this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-5 two weeks ago.
Zander Rolon put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 4.1 innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. Rolon was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

In other batting news, Mason Vega made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. He has become a key player for Brooklyn: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-15 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Bentley Cox, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
As for Oberlin, their win ended a 14-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-13. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 16th (when they won 15-0).
On Oberlin's side, Liam Steggall looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Those seven strikeouts gave Steggall a new career-high.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mason Rosenthal, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025.
Looking ahead, Brooklyn will face off against Keystone at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Oberlin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
