The Lake-Lehman Knights's 18-3 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. The matchup between Lake-Lehman and Holy Redeemer wasn't particularly close, with Lake-Lehman falling 53-35. Lake-Lehman lost against Holy Redeemer in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 39-37 score last time.
Leading Holy Redeemer to victory were Gillian Parsons and Brooke Kroptavich. Parsons scored eight points along with eight rebounds and seven steals, while Kroptavich scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for her. Lucie Racicky was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 13 rebounds.
Lake-Lehman now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Holy Redeemer, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake-Lehman will take on Wyoming Area at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Wyoming Area focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Saturday. As for Holy Redeemer, they will be playing in front of their home fans against MMI Preparatory School at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully MMI Preparatory School focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Wednesday.
