The Quaker Valley Quakers can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They managed a 45-39 win over Beaver. The victory was just what Quaker Valley needed coming off of a 71-37 loss in their prior matchup.
Leading Quaker Valley to victory were Madison Chapman and Oumou Thiero. Chapman scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Thiero dropped a double-double on 26 points and 27 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chapman has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Beaver saw an underclassman step up: Annsley Baker scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Kylie Conley was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.
Quaker Valley's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-13. As for Beaver, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.
Quaker Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Beaver, they will head out on the road to face off against the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.
