Norristown is 0-10 against Methacton since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Norristown Eagles will get right back to it and host the Methacton Warriors at 6:45 p.m. on January 26th.
Norristown pushed their score all the way to 62 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 75-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Perkiomen Valley. While losing is never fun, Norristown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 350th, while Perkiomen Valley is ranked tenth).
Methacton has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against Owen J. Roberts by a score of 48-41 on Thursday.
Norristown's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Methacton, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-14.
Norristown came up short against Methacton when the teams last played on Tuesday, falling 57-44. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Methacton's Abby Arnold, who shot 5-for-10 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 39 points and 16 rebounds.
