South Paulding faced Villa Rica in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Spartans blew past the Wildcats 10-3. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

South Paulding is on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Villa Rica, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of away wins and brought them to 23-3.

South Paulding will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday.
