California stacked a 15th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Dublin with a sharp 59-34 win. Given California's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Gaels are ranked 273rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lauren Yee was her usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Trinity Chu, who scored 12 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of ten wins, Carondelet's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 46-39 to San Ramon Valley. Carondelet has struggled against the Wolves recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
California is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season. As for Carondelet, their loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 22-3.
