After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pratt, Halstead was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Nickerson Panthers, posting a 49-0 win. The Dragons haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Halstead's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Edric Zorn, who rushed for 99 yards and a pair of scores, and also caught one touchdown. Those 99 rushing yards gave Zorn a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Noah Diehl, who picked up 131 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Diehl, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
