The Bowie Pirates and the Deweyville Pirates squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Bowie Pirates had to settle for second. They suffered a tough 28-8 loss at the hands of the Pirates. Bowie's defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Leading Deweyville to victory were Kallel Crooks and Elijah Curl. Crooks rushed for 26 yards and three touchdowns, while Curl rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown.
Bowie's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Deweyville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.
Bowie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Deweyville is on the road again on Friday and play against Mart at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. Mart is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
