The Cromwell Cardinals won the last time they faced the Deer River Warriors, and things went their way on Monday too. Cromwell snuck past Deer River with a 57-52 victory.
Cromwell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isabella Anderson, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Anderson set a new season high mark in steals with five. Jill Anderson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Cromwell's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. As for Deer River, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cromwell will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Proctor at 7:15 p.m. on January 15, 2024. As for Deer River, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Cherry at 7:15 p.m. on December 14th.
