Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Point Loma). They blew past the Bayfront Charter Sharks 66-16 on Thursday. With the Pointers ahead 38-4 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Despite the defeat, Bayfront Charter saw an underclassman step up: freshman Daniela Alonso posted 16 points.

With the victory, Point Loma broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-5.

Point Loma has already played their next match, a 36-22 win against Mar Vista on the 9th. As for Bayfront Charter, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 15-12 loss against Chula Vista Learning Community Charter on the 9th.
