Cairo made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Valdosta, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Syrupmakers blew past the Wildcats 15-4 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Syrupmakers, who have now won seven matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Cairo moved to 9-9 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Valdosta, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 14 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cairo will challenge Chiles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Timberwolves' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Syrupmakers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Valdosta, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Valdosta Wildcats challenge Bainbridge Bearcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Bainbridge will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
