Softball Recap: Rampart's Losing Streak Snapped at Ten Games

Rampart came into Thursday's game having lost ten straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the Doherty Spartans 16-1 on Thursday. The matchup marked the Rams' most dominant victory of the season.

Addison Jensen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Ella Lee was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Emilie Sklenar also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Rampart kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Doherty only managed three.

Rampart's win bumped their record up to 4-18. As for Doherty, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rampart will challenge Widefield at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Doherty, they will take on Fountain-Fort Carson at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
