Another player making a difference was Aaron Kawasaki, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
South Pasadena always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Green Valley came out on top against Fallbrook on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Gators took their game against the Warriors 7-4. Seven seems to be a good number for the Gators as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Maddix Kaye made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.
In other pitching news, Jeremiah Smith looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Joseph Lusch, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Isaiah Alba was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Green Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for South Pasadena, their record is now 5-9-1.
