Video: Trevon Grimes - Top 5 Plays
See the 5-star Florida receiver who's headed to Ohio State.
A midseason torn ACL caused wide receiver
Trevon Grimes of
St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) to miss his team's historic run to a 10th FHSAA playoff title.
Not only did the Raiders become the second team in Florida history to win 10 or more state championships, they later beat Bingham (South Jordan, Utah) in a national bowl game in Frisco, Texas.
But while Grimes missed the second half of the season with the knee injury, he didn't miss out on firmly committing to
Ohio State for 2017. The 6-foot-3, 202-pound 5-Star receiver has plenty to look forward to as he will team up at OSU with MaxPreps National Player of the Year and quarterback
Tate Martell of
Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas).
Coincidentally, Grimes suffered his season-ending injury in St. Thomas Aquinas' epic
three OT loss at Bishop Gorman Sept. 30. He's expected to be ready for the start of Ohio State training camp.
