It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Madison Warhawks ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They snuck past Valhalla with a 53-47 win. This was payback for Madison, who suffered a 41-40 loss the last time these two teams met.
Amyaha Walker continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with three steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Madison's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sierra Minshew, who scored six points along with 19 rebounds and four blocks.
Valhalla's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexis Matos, who scored 11 points along with three blocks. Another player making a difference was Ava Miles, who scored 11 points.
