Jackson Miller was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Miller was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs.
In other batting news, Joe Parsons was a standout: he scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of JJ Allen, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
El Dorado kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Woodland Christian came up short against Vanden on Tuesday and fell 8-3. The loss was the Cardinals' first of the season.
Like El Dorado, Woodland Christian also got a great game from a two-way player: Armaan Badhesha. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Badhesha was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
In other batting news, Jordan Villanuva made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
The win got El Dorado back to even at 2-2. As for Woodland Christian, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-1.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. El Dorado hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having got 0 of their hits per game. However, it's not like Woodland Christian struggles in that department as they've got 0 of their hits this season.
